1. 갑진년의 의미 

한국 및 동양 국가에서는 60년 주기로 10개의 천간(天干)과 12 지지(地支)의 조합으로 이루어진 성년을 사용하여 연도를 표시합니다.

천간: 갑, 을, 병, 정, 무, 기, 경, 신, 임, 계

지지: 자, 축, 인, 묘, 진, 사, 오, 미, 신, 유, 술, 해

 

갑진년은 천간이 '갑'이고 지지가 '진'일 때를 나타내는 용어로 육십 간지의 41번째 해입니다.

일반적인 운세나 전통 점술에서 많이 사용한다고 합니다.

1) 용(Dragon)이란?

-Slay the dragon (용 사냥하기):  to overcome a difficult challenge or obstacle(어려운 도전이나 장애물을 극복하다.) 

Ex) Facing that project felt like slaying a dragon, but we did it successfully. 

 

-Dragon Breath (용의 숨결): Hot or unpleasant breath(뜨겁거나 불쾌한 숨결)

Ex) The coffee was so hot; it felt like dragon breath.

 

-Dragon Lady(용의 여인): A term sometimes used to describe a strong, assertive woman, often with an air of mystery.

Ex) She was known as the dragon lady of the business world, feared and respected.

 

 

3) 용의 역사적 배경

중국의 '용'은 고대 중국에서 신성한 동물로 여겨졌으며, 황제와 관련성이 강조되었습니다.

일본에서도 '신 용'은 신성한 동물로 여겨져 전통적인 예술, 문학 등에서 빈번하게 등장합니다.

In ancient China, the Dragon was considered a sacred creature, closely tied to the emperor and imperial authority.

In Japan, the 'Shinryu'(Divine Dragon) holds a sacred status in traditional arts and literature. 

 

용은 동아시아 예술, 문학, 민속 예술 등 다양한 분야에서 중요한 역할을 합니다.
