[오늘의 영어 표현] 맛집, 존맛 영어로?

요즘 맛있는 음식이 정말 많죠? ^^

오늘은 맛있는 음식을 먹었을 때 어떻게 영어로 표현하는지 알아볼게요!

 

 

 

Rachel: Last night was something else. That was a first for me.

어젯밤은 특별했어. 그런 건 처음이었어.


Cho: Glad to hear it. I had a pretty good time, as well.

그런 말을 들으니 기분 좋네. 나도 즐거웠어.


Rachel: It was a fun atmosphere and 음식이 기가 막히다고!

분위기도 즐거웠고, the food was to die for!


Cho: I have to agree. In fact, I might have overstuffed myself.

동감이야. 사실 말이지, 어쩜 나 너무 먹었을지도 몰라.

 

 

[오늘 표현] 

to die for  =  끝내주는 , 죽이는 , 죽도록 탐나는 

 

[추가 표현들]

 

Last night was something else(특별했어).
=Last night was amazing.

=Everything was so special last night.


That was a first for me. (그런 건 처음이었어.)
= It was the first time I had that kind of experience.

= It was my first time.


Glad to hear it. (그런 말 들으니 기분이 좋네.)
= I’m happy to hear that.

= That’s great to hear.

 

I had a pretty good time, as well. (나도 또한 좋은 시간을 보냈어.)
= I, also, really enjoyed myself. 

= It was a lot of fun for me, too.


It was a fun atmosphere(=분위기)
= The mood was really fun.

= There was such a great feeling of fun in the air(=분위기).


the food was to die for. (음식이 정말 끝내줬어!)
= the food was so fantastic.

= the things they had prepared for us to eat were awesome.


I have to agree. (나도 동의해.)
= I totally agree.

=  I’m with you on that one.

= I think so, too.

 

*I might have overstuffed myself(=지나치게 많이 먹다).
= I think I had too much.

=I quite possibly gorged myself.
